GOOGLE AND THE RAF RETURN AS CO-SUPPORTERS FOR 2012's DIVERSITY CAREERS SHOW

Technology supergiant, Google have signed up as co-supporters, with the RAF for 2012's DIVERSITY CAREERS SHOW in London. Both brands, commited to diversity and inclusion in the workplace have been involved with the UK's largest LGBT careers show for the last 3 years.

The show, now entering its 4th year, reaches undergraduates, graduates and other jobseekers from all over the country and showcase the UK's most influential and inclusive recruiters. The event will feature both Public Sector/NGO recruiters and Corporates. Many recruiters have already signed up for next year's show on Friday 21st October 2012.

GOOGLE TO OFFER ONE-TO-ONE CV ADVICE AT THIS FRIDAY'S DIVERSITY CAREERS SHOW

Tech superbrand GOOGLE are offering over a hundred lucky candidates of this year’s DIVERSITY CAREERS SHOW one-to-one CV workshop sessions with members of their HR team. These invaluable sessions were trialled at last year’s show and proved a storming success.

On a first come, first served basis, the inclusive recruiter will have staff on booths throughout the day to meet with diversity candidates and help them build a strong CV for their future careers. Sessions can only be booked on the day of the show.

The organisers are recommending that candidates come down early to ensure they bag one of these fantastic sessions as they are extremely popular and will book-out fast. The show opens at 10am and runs through to 5.30pm.

 

THE UK’S BIGGEST DIVERSITY CAREERS EVENT

 

The country’s most influential and inclusive employers are taking a stand on diversity in the workplace by exhibiting at this year’s Diversity Careers Show - taking place on Friday 21st October 2011 at the New Connaught Rooms in Covent Garden.

 

The show, now in its third year, seeks to be bigger and better than ever before, with investment banking giant Societe Generale as headline sponsor, supported by private and public sector champions of diversity, Google and the RAF. The show is organised by leading LGBT media and exhibition organisation Square Peg Media in partnership with the renowned gay, lesbian and bisexual charity, Stonewall.

 

Last year saw over 2,500 candidates - students, graduates and other jobseekers alike attend the show and hundreds of delegates have already registered for this year’s show; as well as repeat exhibitors from last year and fantastic new recruiters looking to meet the show’s pool of talented graduates from diverse backgrounds. The show primarily targets LGBT candidates but welcomes jobseekers from all backgrounds.

 

We’re pleased to welcome our fantastic exhibitors, from sectors spanning Investment Banking, Law, Retail, Property and Public Sector to this years show. NEW BENEFITS FOR ATTENDEES

 

In addition to recruiters exhibiting on the day, this year’s show will also showcase a stimulating and informative seminar programme, championed by Stonewall to help candidates with key topics that challenge the LGBT community in the workplace. 

 

We’ll also be increasing the capacity of our exceedingly popular one-to-one CV workshops, to help candidates get dedicated advice about their resumes from real-life recruiters.

 

We’ll also be implementing a student zone, specially for students and those about to graduate to help them get a foot in the door. Feedback shows that students in particular may feel a little intimidated by the size of the event, so we’re looking to provide them with specialised help, guidelines, CV workshops, networking facilitation, interview clinics, dedicated help, hints and tips to help them make the most of the show.

The eagerly anticipated BIG GAY LIFESTYLE SHOW - Europe’s biggest indoor gay lifestyle event, and what is believed to be the first event of its kind in the UK - opens its doors this Saturday (22nd October 2011). The event is sponsored by UK gay superbrand Gaydar, supported by Google and in partnership with Stonewall.
