2012 marks the 25th anniversary of NAT and as part of our birthday celebrations we are honoured to announce our 25th Birthday Red Ribbon Art Auction. Featuring 30 pieces of original artwork donated by high profile supporters such as Annie Lennox, Gok Wan, Dr Christian Jessen, artists including Maggi Hambling, Rob Ryan, Bill Pryde and Robert Taylor, and designers such as Paul Smith, Matthew Williamson, Philip Treacy and Giles Deacon, each artwork has been created using the iconic red ribbon, the international symbol for HIV awareness and support, as its central motif.
These original images - which were displayed at our Spring Awakening event in May and our recent Parliamentary Reception - are now going to be auctioned. The online auction will run from 30 October until 7 December 2012, with winning bids to be announced that day. All proceeds will support the vital work being done by NAT, the UK's leading charity dedicated to championing the rights of people living with HIV and campaigning for change.
To mark the launch of the auction, the first public viewing of the collection is going to take place tomorrow Tuesday, 30 October 2012, from 1.30pm - 6.30pm at Lo Profile, 84-86 Wardour Street in Soho.
Following the public viewing, we are inviting a select group of NAT friends, supporters and the media for informal drinks at Lo Profile between 6.30pm and 7.30pm that evening - and it would be wonderful if you could join us. It will be another chance for you to see our fabulous art collection - and an opportunity to bid on your favourite piece (or two...)
